C.J. Stermer
Public Health Advocate & Educator
C.J. has a long-standing history with VFHY’s educational programming, serving as host of the Champions for Youth Podcast and returning for his third year as emcee of the Champions for Youth Summit. With over 20 years in marketing and more than a decade dedicated to youth advocacy and public health, he has led LGBTQ+ tobacco prevention campaigns with the FDA, substance use prevention initiatives with the CDC, and even collaborated with First Lady Michelle Obama during the 2012 National DNC. He holds a degree in psychology from Appalachian State University and a master’s in business administration from the University of Southern California. C.J. also serves on several nonprofit boards, including Rainbow Labs and as board chair for the Doctor Yum Project.
